To provide physicians with a service that allows physicians to consistently and conveniently stay abreast of new treatment guidelines.

Company Profile

There isn’t an expansive amount of information available that tracks how closely physicians follow best practices in healthcare. The information that is out there suggests that best practices are not always followed in many cases due to lack of knowledge and awareness. Consider the implications of not referring to or knowing the appropriate guidelines in a given disease state. Guidelines typically are based on a substantive amount of research, and they are formulated to aide a healthcare practitioner in his or her own decision making. When these guidelines are not followed, they typically result in sub-optimal care of a patient. This sub-optimal care or improper care results in greater spending of healthcare dollars and delivers lesser value to patients.

Our belief is that if physicians were given an easy and convenient method to look up guidelines that they were most interested in or able to easily talk to medical experts in the field about best solutions to specific cases, the value of care received by patients would greatly improve and reduce unnecessary health care spending.

Panacea is a package of web-based services that will enable the flow of current and relevant information on various disease states to the busy physician. At the heart of this service will be easy access to the latest information and research on best practices. It will also include a secure discussion forum where physicians can share knowledge, information, concerns and patient treatment issues. As an added service Panacea would also address physician CME (Continuous Medical Education) needs by hosting online training for vendors of CME’s and informing our customers of relevant CME’s in their field of practice/specialty.
